Catriona Gillies
GHM Manager

In January 2021 Catriona Gillies became the new manager of GHM with a fresh outlook on steering Greenhouse Mentoring into the future.

She joins GHM with over ten years of experience volunteering with both youth and young adults within various churches. She has a clear drive and passion to see young people be encouraged and given the opportunity to reach their full potential confidently. Catriona has spent many years at home with her three daughters homeschooling and understands the ups and downs that family life can bring. She still enjoys time with her ever-growing family, now to include a son-in-law and her Granddaughter!

She enjoys time with the family dog Lily and reading a good theology book. She also enjoys sharing a good meal with friends. Catriona is a committed Christian and enjoys being part of her church community.

Becca, joined the team in September 2021 and was appointed as Mentoring and Groups Coordinator.

She has worked as a youth worker in Luton for several years. Becca gained her degree in Youth and Community Work and also a JNC in 2019. Becca has worked in several youth work settings including, youth centres, churches, and education. She has a strong passion to support and encourage young people from all walks of life to achieve their full potential.

Becca is very social and is often found spending her free time with friends and family, going out for meals, and going for long walks or drives. Becca loves music, cars, or anything pink! Becca loves meeting new people so make sure you say hello when you drop in!

Emma Lawrence
Relationships & Admin
Co-ordinator

Emma, trained as a Mentor in May 2019 and was appointed as Café Coordinator in November 2019. She is also a Mentor.

She worked on cruise ships for 4 years as a photographer travelling to over 50 destinations by the time she was 25 years old. After that Emma came back to the UK and managed a photo processing store for nearly 10 years. She ran her own photography business doing school photos and weddings and worked at Tui in the after travel department before being made redundant. Due to her brain AVM she decided to take a slower pace of life and give back to the community hence GHM.

Emma is an avid Hatter’s fan and tries to go to as many matches as she can. She would love to be a season ticket holder but work and finance have always held her back. Emma loves to bake and photography is still something she likes to do.

Ellie-Mae, joined the team in November 2022 as a volunteer while she was studying Child and Adolescent studies at the University of Bedfordshire. She loved volunteering at GHM, so when the position of Group Mentoring &  Admin Assistant became available in 2023, she was.

Ellie-Mae has a passion for helping others and supporting people through the challenges that life brings. She believes that nobody should feel like they have to face difficult times alone. She has now completed her degree and is hoping to study further in the future, while continuing to work at supporting young people around Luton.

In her personal life, Ellie-Mae enjoys spending time with her family and, brothers, going out for dinner and playing with her cat Cover. Ellie-Mae loves learning more human behaviour and psychology, and is looking to take up a course in counselling in the future.
