Co-op Local Community Fund
GHM has been chosen (again!) for the next round of the Co-op Local Community Fund
Please encourage your friends and family to support us if you feel able.
The funding round started on 28 October 2018 and runs for 12 months until the 26 October 2019.
How it works
Every time members shop at the Co–op, 1% of what they spend on selected own-brand products and services goes to the Co–op Local Community Fund.
Co-op also give us and the other causes in your community an equal share of the money they raise from sales of carrier bags. Members in our local community will be able to choose us as their cause and give their 1% from the 28 October.
So if you would like to support us from your everyday shopping at Co-op stores, funeral or insurance areas then sign up – it does cost £1 to start, but afterwards there is no charge.
So all you have to do is:
- to become Co‑op members, if you aren’t already – https://membership.coop.co.uk/
- to select GreenHouse Mentoring as your cause by signing into your online account at www.coop.co.uk/membership and selecting GHM – use the category of youth services to aid selection
- you can find out more about the fund when you sign in

Other Fund Raising
GreenHouse Mentoring is a non profit making organisation. GreenHouse Mentoring (GHM) is a project of Stopsley Baptist Church, a registered charity (No.1150563) and has been operating since 2002. During this time we have been delighted to support young people in Luton with one-to-one Mentoring, Group Mentoring and other services.
All our mentors are volunteers, but in order to operate within accepted safety guidelines and with the right level of support, GreenHouse Mentoring has an infrastructure which includes management, training and supervision for all GHM volunteers.
Over the course of a year we support many young people. The cost to the organisation of providing mentoring per young person is approximately £400. At present, our funding limits the number of young people that we can help.
We are funded by our Supporters & Volunteers and a number of trusts and are still building our Income for the year 2018 through to 2020. Please click on the links on the left to see how you could help us to help the young people of Luton.
